A small, shrub-like tree, growing 8 to 10 feet in height, with a wide, mounding top. Spread 8 to 15 feet. Covered with fragrant pure white flowers in mid May. Small, dark red crabapples appear in fall before the leaves drop. The fruit will hang on the tree into winter, if the birds don’t get it first. This tree makes an effective screen, due to its dense branching habit and ornamental appearance in spring and fall. Space 10 feet apart for a thick screen. A favorite food for song birds and wildlife.
